The revamped Greater Harrisburg Jewish Teen Leadership Program is designed to equip teens with the knowledge, skills, and perspectives to become successful Jewish leaders today, tomorrow, and into the future.
The five-session program launching Sunday, November 23 (other dates TBD—will take place on Sunday afternoons) and will provide participants with the opportunity to learn from local and national leaders from a variety of Jewish communal movements about leadership, leaning into Jewish identity, and how they can be instrumental in ensuring a bright Jewish future.
Session 1, November 23, 1:00 p.m. at the Harrisburg JCC on the Grass Campus: Orientation, Expectations, and Getting Comfortable Expressing Ourselves
Session 2: What Does it Mean to be a Leader?
Session 3: Tikkun Olam—Being a Light Unto the Jewish and Broader Communities
Session 4: Israel, the Diaspora, and Our Shared Jewish Experience
Session 5: Using our Voice—Helping Civic Leaders Understand the Complex Challenges Facing Jewish Communities
Capstone Project (May): Participants will advocate with elected officials on an issue chosen and researched by the 2025 JTLP Cohort.
Costs: FREE for Harrisburg JCC and BBYO members. $100 per non-member participant.
