Sports Complex, Therapy Pool Coming to Grass Campus

Therapy pool and "gymatorium" among newly-announced construction plans

The Jewish Federation of Greater Harrisburg is excited to announce that we’ll be continuing our aquatics program at the new Grass Campus, which will be the future home of a newly-constructed sports complex featuring a therapy pool, gymnasium, and auditorium!

“We've heard from many of you that having a pool was absolutely essential,” says Abby Smith, Board Chair of the Jewish Federation. “This sports complex gives us the opportunity to incorporate key priorities based on community feedback, including having an auditorium, a regulation-sized gym, pickleball, and, of course, a place to swim.”

The therapy pool will be created in the state-of-the-art sports complex, where we’ll also be constructing a gymnasium. In addition to various sports and recreation activities (including basketball and pickleball!), the gym will be able to serve as our community town square with an auditorium for programs and events.

For decades, aquatics and communal spaces have played important roles in bringing our community together at the Harrisburg JCC. We’re excited to preserve these traditions and bring you much, much more as we head into our community’s next chapter.
